About us

A rock-solid company built with integrity

LaRocco Roofing & Siding is a family-run roofing and siding contractor in Bay Shore, New York, working across Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens for more than 15 years.

Our story

We got tired of cleaning up after other people's roofs

Most of the failures we find were installed by somebody else, in a hurry, a few years ago. Underlayment that stops short of the eave. Step flashing replaced with a tube of caulk. Soffit vents packed solid with insulation so the attic can't breathe. New shingles laid straight over two old layers because the tear-off was where the profit was.

None of that shows up on the day the job is finished. It shows up four winters later, on somebody's ceiling.

Peter LaRocco built LaRocco Roofing & Siding to be the other kind of contractor — the one who does the boring parts right because those are the parts that decide whether a roof makes it twenty-five years or fifteen. We are still small enough that the owner is on the job, and we intend to stay that way.

Why LaRocco

What we do differently

Roofing has a reputation problem, and it was earned. This is how we work instead.

Owner on every job

Peter LaRocco is on site, not running a call center. The person who quotes your roof is the person responsible for it.

Our crew, not day labor

We don't sub out residential roofing to whoever answered the phone that morning. Same trained crew, same standards, every job.

Written quotes that hold

The price on your proposal is the price on your invoice unless you approve a change in writing.

Built for Long Island weather

Ice-and-water shield at the eaves, proper ridge and soffit ventilation, and fastening patterns specified for coastal wind exposure.

Insurance claims handled

Storm damage? We document it properly, meet your adjuster on the roof and speak their language.

Left cleaner than we found it

Rolling magnets over the lawn and driveway, dumpster hauled, landscaping protected. Your neighbors shouldn't be able to tell we were there.

Credentials

Checked, certified and on the record

Anyone can print “licensed and insured” on a truck. These are verifiable.

Our process

How a job runs, start to finish

The same five steps on every job, whether it's a cracked pipe boot or a full tear-off.

Free on-site inspection

We walk the roof, check the attic and photograph what we find. You see the same pictures we do — including the parts of your roof you can't get to.

A written, itemized quote

One clear number, broken down by material and labor. No pressure, no vanishing discount that expires tonight, no surprise change orders halfway through.

Permits, materials, scheduling

We pull the town permits, order the material and give you a firm start date and a realistic finish date for the weather we're working in.

Installation by our own crew

Property gets tarped and protected before a single shingle comes off. Most residential roofs are torn off and re-roofed in one to two days.

Clean-up and final walkthrough

Magnet sweep for nails, debris hauled away, then we walk it with you before we ask for final payment and hand over your warranty paperwork.

FAQ

About LaRocco

What areas does LaRocco Roofing & Siding serve?

We serve all of Long Island — Nassau County and Suffolk County — plus Queens, NY. We're based at 17 Angela Lane, Bay Shore, NY 11706.

Are estimates really free?

Yes. Inspections and written estimates cost nothing and carry no obligation. You get photos of your roof and an itemized quote whether or not you hire us.

How long has LaRocco Roofing & Siding been in business?

More than 15 years working on Long Island roofs, siding and gutters, residential and commercial.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry the licensing and insurance required for the towns we work in, and we'll send current certificates before work starts. We're also an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm, which is required for exterior work on pre-1978 homes.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We partner with Hearth, so you can check monthly payment options without affecting your credit score before you commit to anything.

What roofing materials do you install?

Architectural and designer asphalt shingles, standing-seam and metal roofing, and flat-roof systems including TPO, EPDM rubber and modified bitumen. We're an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor.

Do you handle insurance claims for storm damage?

Yes. We document damage with photographs, provide an itemized scope of work and meet your adjuster on the roof so both assessments are based on the same evidence.

How soon can you start?

Free inspections are usually within a few days. Active leaks and storm damage get priority — call (516) 924-2050. Full replacements are scheduled around permits, material lead time and weather, and we give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.

Do you replace the roof deck if it's rotten?

Yes, and we show you before we do. Rotted or delaminated plywood is replaced before the new roof goes on — you approve the sheet count, so there's no surprise line on the invoice.

Who will actually be doing the work?

Our own crew, with owner Peter LaRocco on site. We don't hand residential roofing to a rotating cast of subcontractors.
